Research

Body

Led by the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS), in conjunction with colleges throughout the University, C2M leverages Penn State's existing technology and research abilities in critical materials. Formally establishing the center and partnering with industrial groups expands that research to best support the development of critical resources on a commercial scale.

Concept to Commercialization Support

Penn State's laboratory space in EMS offers the capabilities this project requires and are enhanced by the John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering (EME) and world class characterization core facilities within the Materials Research Institute and the Institutes of Energy and the Environment (IEE). In addition, computation support for modeling and scale up efforts are available within the Institute for Cyber-Science.
